LITTLE WHITE LIES
Click here for more information about this book
Lou Shepherd takes the opportunity of starting at university to reinvent herself – completely. She dyes her hair and changes her name in an attempt to hide her past – but then she meets a guy who's doing exactly the same thing, for very different reasons. Why does Christian clam up every time Lou asks about his past? Why doesn’t he have any family photos, and why does he dye his blond hair black?
Lou finds herself falling for Christian, so when his house goes up in flames, his tires are slashed, and he flees for his life, she insists on going with him. But as Christian’s secret is finally unveiled in front of the whole world, it seems everything he’s ever told Lou is a lie. Can what the media are saying about him really be true? Should Lou trust him? Or is she in grave danger? And was their chance encounter really an accident at all…?
As lie follows lie, nothing is as it seems, and soon Lou finds herself ensnared in a web of deceit, her loyalties torn, her emotions in tatters as she faces a heart-wrenching dilemma: should she shatter the lives of those she holds dearest, or betray the guy who, against all odds, she's fallen in love with?

THE NEVER-ENDING BIRTHDAY is published by Macmillan Children's Books and it's the story of twins Max and Anni who have the WORST thirteenth birthday ever! Max misses a vital goal in the Cup Final, fails a test & smashes a neighbour's window, while Anni's birthday party spins wildly out of control and her best friend dumps her, and both twins are grounded FOREVER
Feeling thoroughly miserable, Max and Anni sneak downstairs at midnight and light their birthday candles and, as they blow them out, they make a wish . . . to redo the day!
When they wake up, their wish has come true! But little do they realize that they are going to have to relive their birthday again . . . and again . . . and again!

To WIN your very own SPARKLY copy simply email me at kayteedale@hotmail.com or tweet me at @katiedaleuk telling me which day of your life you'd like to repeat - and why!

I was actually in the movie Captain America, and loved Agent Carter - does she count? 😉 Anyway, back to the tour! Along with the lovely Tom Percival (Little Legends series) and Scott Allen (Llama United) I'll be touring schools all over the country meeting over 2000 kids! If you're one of them, do come and say hi!

In other news, I did my first ever radio interview last week - EEK! It'll be broadcast next month so I'll tell you more about it then 😊

And I've been busy writing too - I've got not one, not two, but SEVEN Early Reader books in the pipeline!

Have a lovely July everyone!

World Book Week!

It's WORLD BOOK WEEK!

I love visiting schools and meeting readers, and earlier this week I had the pleasure of visiting Kingfield Primary School in Woking! I loved meeting all the kids, and we had great fun coming up with brand new fairy tales, designing heros and villains and imagining the future - what fantastic imaginations you have!

And on Friday I can't wait to meet everyone at
Nottingham Girls School for more creative fun!

Hope you're having a fantastic World Book Week, wherever you are!

If you'd like me to visit your school, check out my Author Visits page or email me at katiedaleauthor@hotmail.com

Valentine's Day/Book Giving Day GIVEAWAY!

It's Valentine's Day week and love is well and truly in the air!
But the path of true love never did run smooth...even in fairytales! Just ask Prince Charming!

But whether you have a Valentine or not, there's another reason to celebrate -
International Book Giving Day!
After all, spreading the love of reading and books is just as important.
Did you know...
- Most children in developing countries do not own books?
- In the UK one third of children do not own books
- In the USA two-thirds of children living in poverty do not own books
But YOU can help!
Why not
- Leave a book in a waiting room for a child to read?
- Donate a book to a library, hospital, or charity shop, or a charity such as Room to Read, Books for Africa, Book Aid International, The Book Bus,
Or give a book as a gift - it could even be a Valentine's present, celebrating both occasions at once! Bonus!

To celebrate, I'm running a PRIZE DRAW to give away a copy of PRINCE CHARMING'S PRINCESS QUEST - to enter, simply email me at katiedaleauthor@hotmail.com to let me know who you'd like me to dedicate the book to, and why.
Happy Book Giving Day, everyone!
